Ok, what do you guys think about the LG4650 phone? and what is the difference of the LG4650 and the LG4500? i have the LG4650 and i like it. i can do most of the things with it. hahahahahahah! Please reply.
I love my 4650. I am on a good list serve for the LG phones and they are very helpful. The list is made up of visually impaired people.
I have an lg 4650, but for some reason i've heard that it is quite unaccessible compared to the 4500 one. any way i would be able to get a bit of help with the 4650 from anybody? That'd be great.
There is an e-mail list for blind users of the LG phones. Send an e-mail to BlindusersLGVXPhones-subscribe@yahoo.com and put the word subscribe in the subject line. Once you join, you can access info on the group site and ask questions of other members.
Hey, great, thank you!
interesting.
I don't notice any real difference between the 4500 and the 4650. Thanks for the email address of the mailing list Becky! Maybe people on this list have thaught of some things that I haven't, I'll check it out.
for some reason i still haven't received any email back from when i sent the list the email.. does it take a couple days?
Dunno, when I sent off the email, it was bounced back to me. Is there some a mistake? Does the list still exist?
Yes the list still exists, and it shouldn't take a couple days. I heard back immediately. I'll write it out again here, and pay attention to which letters are capitalized: BlindusersLGVXPhones-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Let me know if you try again and still don't get anything.
Hi there, it worked this time. Thank you very much.
Good. I hope you get some information that you find helpful.
Wooh hooh! Got it to work this time. I'm excited, but it alwyas takes me a while to get the hang of email groups. I should create an email account specifically for groups.
interesting
hey guys, i think that that group is awesum, do you have to pay though or somthing?
Nope, all free! Just sign up!
Well I've been a member of the group for a week now and am thinking of unsubscribing. I don't actually have a phone yet, and all the instructions and helpful hints being discussed are confusing me since I don't have an actual phone to practice with. Plus, it seems that although the LG phones have some speech features which make them sort of useful for the blind, they were not designed specifically for the blind and you need sighted assistance to do some things.
well, i will subscribe
does anybody have the LG 4700 phone? is that different from the 4650 version?
how does the BlindusersLGVXPhones-subscribe@yahoogroups. work?
Prissy: Once you subscribe you will get an e-mail from the list moderator welcoming you to the group and giving you some other information. Once you have subscribed, you should start getting e-mails from other members who are asking questions and answering questions. If you have any questions that you don't see the answers to, just send an e-mail to BlindusersLGVXPhones@yahoogroups.com. You might want to introduce yourself in your first e-mail before asking your questions. Basically the way an e-mail list works is that every e-mail you send to the list address goes to everyone on the list, including yourself. So if you want to say something to just one member, you need to go up into the address field and find that member's e-mail address. And don't forget to change the subject line when you ask a new question so that others on the list will see what your e-mail is about. If you don't change the subject line, then some people might not read your message because they think it is about a subject they're not interested in.
ok thanks catlover!!
helloo
Thanks for the address to the email list, I just got a 5200 and this should be a huge help.
